Recently, an Ecommerce client of mine needed to offer local free ‘contactless’ deliveries to her customers.
She wanted to show ‘Free Local Deliveries’ as an option for customers in the cart when their shipping address included three Dublin postcodes only close to her bricks and mortar store.
Here’s how I got things setup.
In WooCommerce, under shipping options, I added a shipping zone called “Local free drop off”.
I then added the following conditions to the zone so this shipping method only gets offers to customers living in Dublin with D18, D16 or D14 postcodes.
In the shipping methods, I added the following options which appear as choices on the checkout page.
And that’s it really. It’s proving a really useful solution during these trying times and I hope this tutorial provides help to others either trying to set it up for their own business or for clients.
